Let's set out our intention for the coming year with a strong and calm end to this year!


We are hosting an event to celebrate the passing of 2022 and to usher in the New Year with yoga, breathwork and meditation.

Location: Great Gonerby Memorial Hall, Belton Lane, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG31 8NB Date: Friday 30th December Time 10.00 - 13.00 Cost: £35.00

On Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October, Capoeira Senzala Grantham hosted a Half Term Capoeira weekend. Students from Grantham, Cambridge, Sheffield and Leicester took part in a programme of activities including Capoeira (of course!), Maculelê, Samba and Brazilian music workshops, and Yoga!


It was a delight to be invited, as a special guest instructor, to teach yoga and breathwork at the event. The strength, flexibility and control of all involved is a real testament to their commitment to training and hard work. Through their passion for Capoeira, they have created a wonderfully diverse and supportive community. It was an honour to be a part of it!

On World Mental Health Day, it was a pleasure to teach yoga and meditation at the Prince William of Gloucester Army Barracks in Grantham. Army personnel joined classes in-person and on-line as part of an organised event focussing on health and well-being.


World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to raise awareness, collectively, about preventive mental-health interventions.

A spokesperson for the World Health Organisation stated: “We envision a world in which mental health is valued, promoted, and protected; where everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy mental health and to exercise their human rights; and where everyone can access the mental-health care they need.”


Yoga and meditation, for many, are an important part of a well-being ‘maintenance programme’ for a healthy and happy life!
